ROPES is a registered non-government organization with a focus on children and women in rural and urban areas. We believe in an inclusive approach to serving all children and women, regardless of their religion, gender, socio-economic status, ethnicity, or ability. Our areas of work include education, health and nutrition, child protection, vocational training, water and sanitation, women empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods.
About ROPES
ROPES focuses on dalit, tribal and deprived communities improving the lives of most backward children and women in rural and urban areas. Since 1989, we have been dedicated to empowering communities to make a reality of children's and women's rights. Our approach is inclusive and aims to serve all children and women, regardless of their religion, gender, socio-economic status, ethnicity, vulnerability, or abilities. Our projects cover several areas, including education, health, and nutrition, child protection, vocational training, water and sanitation, women's empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods. At ROPES, we integrate principles of participation, caste and gender inclusion, and equality into all our thematic areas of interventions.
Our Approach

Our focus is empowering most backward communities to make children’s and women’s rights a reality. We work closely with local stakeholders to create sustainable solutions that address the unique challenges faced by each community. Our programs are designed to be holistic, ensuring that our beneficiaries receive support in education, health, nutrition, child protection, vocational training, water and sanitation, women empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods. Through our work, we aim to build a world where every child and woman has the opportunity to fulfill their potential.
Our Impact
Since our inception in 1989, ROPES has actively promoted and safeguarded children and women's rights in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. Their dedicated efforts are focused on various important aspects such as education, health, protection, water and sanitation, women's empowerment, and sustainable livelihood. ROPES has been working tirelessly to create positive change in the lives of children and women. Our programs have impacted over 300,000 beneficiaries in both rural and urban areas. We have helped children access quality education, provided healthcare services to underprivileged communities, empowered women to start their own businesses, and much more. Our work has not gone unnoticed, and we have been recognized for our efforts by various organizations and stakeholders. We are proud of the impact we have made so far, and we are committed to continuing our work until every child and woman has the opportunity to live a life free from poverty and exploitation.
